  • James Gunn On The Batman 2 Delay: “Let The Guy Write The Screenplay…

    Washington:

DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn has expressed his annoyance with the intense scrutiny surrounding ‘The Batman II’, directed by Matt Reeves.

Despite the film’s delayed production, Gunn remains optimistic about the project, emphasising the importance of allowing Reeves the time he needs to craft a quality screenplay.

As per Deadline, in an interview, Gunn revealed that DC Studios is expecting to receive the script for ‘The Batman II’ in June.

“We’re supposed to get a script in June. I hope that happens. We feel really good about it. Matt’s excited. I talk to Matt all the time. I’m totally excited about it,” he said, as quoted by Deadline.

Gunn bluntly stated that fans should be patient and not pressure Reeves. “People should get off Matt’s n–s because it’s like, let the guy write the screenplay in the amount of time he needs to write it. That’s just the way it is. He doesn’t owe you something because you like his movie.”

He added that Reeves doesn’t let the pressure affect him.

Gunn’s ‘Superman’ film, set to premiere on July 11, will launch a new DCU phase, separate from Reeves’ ‘Batman Epic Crime Saga’.

This saga includes ‘The Batman’ (2022) and the Max series spin-off ‘The Penguin’.

Reeves confirmed that ‘The Batman II’ will start filming this year, with Robert Pattinson set to reprise his role as Batman.

Despite the delay, fans are eagerly awaiting the sequel, which is currently scheduled to premiere on October 1, 2027.

  • Chetan Bhagat On Sardaar Ji 3 Row: “I Love Diljit Dosanjh, Saying He Should Get No Work In India Is Very Unfair”

Author Chetan Bhagat has come out in support of Punjabi star Diljit Dosanjh, who is in the middle of a raging controversy about the casting of Pakistani star Hania Aamir in his latest film Sardaar Ji 3.

The film released in international territories today, skipping an India debut amid India-Pakistan tensions following the Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor, a series of retaliatory air strikes by India on Pakistan terror camps.

Calls for banning Sardaar Ji 3 and Diljit Dosanjh have strengthened since the trailer, also featuring Hania Aamir, dropped on social media on Sunday.

At the NDTV Creators’ Manch on Friday, Chetan Bhagat said, “I love Diljit. he is one of the truly exceptionally talented individuals. I admire him. He sticks to his principles. He wanted to be in Bollywood, but he didn’t cut his hair… He still became a star. It’s not a joke, anyone can get tempted. His music, his concerts, his reels are hilarious.”At the event, the author and speaker said banning a film which also belongs to the production crew doesn’t make sense.

“That film is not Diljit’s alone. No film just belongs to the actor. At least 300 people must have worked on the film. Even if you have an issue with Diljit, penalising those people is not fair, so much money has gone into it. Banning a film is too much. You don’t like the film, don’t watch it. The calls for his boycott are highly unfair.”

Chetan Bhagat also said, “We don’t need to hate anyone to keep our country safe.”

Humein Pakistan ke mooh nahin lagna, humein apni country ko safe and secure karna hai (We don’t have to engage with Pakistan, we just have to keep our country safe and secure). Look at our level, then look at theirs. We don’t need to hate anyone to keep our country safe. If they trouble us, we’ll teach them a lesson. Our hate will make them win,” he added.

  • Mika Singh Calls Diljit Dosanjh “Fake Singer” For Working With Pakistani Actor Hania Aamir: “Leaving Fans Betrayed”

    New Delhi:

Mika Singh didn’t hold back his resentment over Diljit Dosanjh’s decision to release Sardaar Ji 3, featuring Pakistani actor Hania Aamir, overseas in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack (April 22). Mika Singh, in an Instagram Story, called Diljit “fake singer” without taking his name. However, he shared a collage picture featuring himself and Diljit, making his attack evident for the singer through his Instagram post.

    What’s Happening

Mika Singh wrote, “Desh Pehle (Nation first). Guys, as we all know, the relationship between India and Pakistan isn’t going well right now. Yet some people continue to act irresponsibly.”

“Before releasing any content that involves artists from across the border, they should think twice-especially when our nation’s dignity is involved,” he added.

Citing the fate of Fawad Khan’s film Abir Gulaal amid India-Pakistan tensions, he wrote, “There was a film featuring Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor that many of us opposed, and yet, some still don’t seem to get the message. What’s more shocking is that a fake singer, after doing 10 shows in India with thousands of fans buying tickets, had now disappeared – leaving fans betrayed and helpless.” Mika was referring to Diljit’s successful Dil-Luminati world tour.

Diljit Dosanjh hasn’t responded to Mika Singh’s attack yet.
